Autograph letter signed : [Woodford], to Arthur Moore, [1889 May 26].

Briefly discussing religious faith, noting that "there is only Pessimism & Catholicism ... Theism strikes me as about the worst kind of balderdash that I have yet come across except perhaps Positivism." Alluding to the closure of the relationship with the barmaid called "Lena," stating "I am more than ever convinced of the futility of bringing any kind of sentiment into one's relations with Woman." Hoping to collaborate with Moore on another work, asking him to "be quick in fashioning a plot," and mentioning his busy schedule and referencing his work for The Critic.
